These were four years of peace under the leadership of President Jimmy Carter. This must become the model we must aspire to now that we have some semblance of governmental control back. The military machine must be put to rest. The war mongers must be contained. We know better. We have broken our the pattern of blissful ignorance. There are no more excuses for us to willingly participate in wars that are created to enrich the rich at the cost of the lives of our children. Let’s become a multitude of Jimmy Carters.
