Dew and droplets of contained water have always fascinated me since I constantly see birds. bees and other little creatures come drink to these self contained water fountains, which I guess are sources of life and happiness to them.

It’s easy to see the water has a “skin” holding them together in a sort of flattened sphere. It turns out that the surface tension is the result of the tendency of water molecules to attract one another (called cohesion). The effect of gravity flattens this sphere into the shape you see.

Nature, science and the observation of true beauty seated together.
