We all know that our ego is our sense of self-esteem our self-importance. Psychoanalysis calls it a part of the mind that mediates between the conscious and the unconscious, as is responsible for reality testing and a sense of personal identity. Otherwise, conscious thinking subject.

Philosophy calls the ego a conscious thinking subject.

My idea is that the narrative that takes place in each of our minds between you and yourself is really between you and your alter ego. Recognizing and accepting your alter ego, opens a magical door to much needed introspection. Without introspection there is no personal growth. You are stuck in the mud with all your masks and other dead weight. So, I as a joke on Facebook, invented my alter ego. First and mostly a very red Orangutan and it continued to evolve into other shapes and forms. Eventually “IT” was named Likey, a really happy, innocent and sometimes wise persona. We have enjoyed meeting each other out in the open. Some people come out as gay, well, my Alter ego Likey came out as real. More on both of us laters baby!
