Introducing the 4 7 8 Breathing Technique:
What is the 4 7 8 breathing technique?
1-Close your mouth and inhale quietly through your nose to the mental count of four.
2-Hold your breath for a count of seven.
3-Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound to a count of eight.
4- Now inhale again and repeat the cycle three more times for a total of four breaths.
This breathing exercise is recommended for 5 to 10 times per day.
Mastering the basics of breathing and posture allows your attention to focus on the sensation of the air moving in and out of your body. As you become more concentrated, you can experience a refreshing state of natural clarity and concentration. That is the path of enlightenment started by Siddhartha himself. (www.bbc.co.uk)
When you breathe deeply, you give your internal organs a message of well-being while oxygenating your blood. We are not designed to breathe deeply at all times. If you get into a rhythm of deep breathing daily, you will heal faster a live a much healthier life. (www. joionlines.net)
