The Billionaire Saga that’s Killing Us.

Just yesterday I read an article about how New York beat Hong King on the second most billionaires list, claiming 124 by adding 11 just last year.

The only way to acquire such wealth is by the capitalization of our planet’s assets. Take a moment and think about this. This obvious fact eluded me my entire life. All existing assets on this planet are harvested, directly or indirectly, from this planet. By breaking the pattern of all other life on this very planet of only generating biodegradable waste, we, human beings, have polluted the primary source of our wealth and existence, planet Earth. The greater the wealth, the larger the footprint of damage and devastation inflicted upon the only home we have.

The hoarding of wealth has become a blood sport. A deadly game where power breeds more power at any expense. Several centuries ago these consequences would have been looked upon as long-term damage, something to worry about in the future. That future has become now, here.

We, society, have been indoctrinated to believe that the hoarding of wealth, at any cost, is a right and is to be admired. This situation is yet another example of how cognitive dissonance is eating us alive. Open your mind. See the truth and act upon it.
