In 2008 a nine page white paper outlining the idea for Bitcoin was published to a mailing list for cryptography enthusiast ” as a purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash (that) would allow online payments to be sent directly through financial institutions.” At that time Dr. Craig Wright used the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. And so the cryptocurrency story begins. In 2010, the value of a single Bitcoin was roughly 8 cents. By the end of the year, the total value of the cryptocurrency topped $1 million.
Dr. Craig’s formula for Bitcoin included the top number of coins to be issued at 21 million ceiling. As of August, 2021, 18.77 million Bitcoins have been mined (issued), which leaves 2.3 million yet to be introduced into circulation.
The internet attributes Satoshi Nakamoto’s net worth at $73 billion. During the recent Miami trial it was made clear and certain that Dr. Craig owns 1.1 million Bitcoin. The mentioned lawsuit involved a legal claim for about $200 Billion. Dr. Wright’s 1.1 million Bitcoin @ $50,000 would equal, giving price fluctuations, about $55 billion. I imagine that the lawsuit claiming $200 Billion against Dr. Craig contemplated the monies belonging to his other persona, Satoshi Nakamoto. I’m just putting two and two together and trying to make sense of all the facts as were are presented.
Aside from the values involved in confirming Dr. Craig as the the creator of Bitcoin it has been shocking to see the campaign the media has against him. Nearly every time the news mentions him they also add the disclaimer that he has not proven to be Satoshi Nakamoto. During the Miami trial, if you listened and read closely, it became clear that the man is the creator of the Bitcoin. The chain of evidence told the story. Is the media’s animosity caused by envy? A tough question to respond to. They are raging a campaign against him yet they never state their case as of why, It sounds orchestrated. The same wording, like a cigarettes’ disclaimer, over and over again. It’s fair to discredit someone if you say why, not just for the fun of it. Media strings being pulled everywhere.
When there is such a great fortune in a pot many are seeking ways to get away with whichever scam they can come up with. I can see the pool of billionaires angry as hell that a nine page white paper paid off in billions. They have been outsmarted. Oh Lordy, Hide the guns. Congratulations Dr. Craig for winning your case.
For those who only read the headlines. The $99 million Dr. Craig has to pay a company, beware that the company is owned and operated by his ex-wife. Not one cent will trade to the plaintiff.
When asked, during the trial, why he used the name Satoshi Nakamoto, he responded for security reasons. He wanted to protect his family. My guess is that when you are venturing out with a creation such as cryptocurrency that would and did rattle many cages worldwide you want to play your cards close to your chest, as they say. Banks are losing control of currency. Entire governments are trying to get in on the ‘game”. It’s a whole new ball game thanks to Dr. Wright’s nine page white paper. He also said that he has great admiration for Japanese culture and mentioned a great philosopher called Nakamoto.
Some media people have questioned why hasn’t Dr. Craig ‘touched’ the 1.1 million Bitcoin since it’s inception. He owned the entire pool of 21 million Bitcoins. The 18.77 million that have been mined currently trade in a secondary market. The original issuance traded each coin similar to an IPO (initial public offering) was sold by the creator. Dr. Craig must have sold Bitcoin starting at 8 cents all the way up to $50,000. The revenue from these assets appear under the name of Satoshi Nakamoto ($73Billion).The Miami lawsuit made Dr. Wright show himself. This dude is the creator of Bitcoin.
