You’ve probably already made this meatball recipe for the Air Fryer, and I’m late to the party. The idea of enjoying the burst of flavor sans the greasiness is enticing. This translates to cooking this recipe often instead of once per year if that often.
My mix consists of one pound of good-quality ground beef, at least two tablespoons each of parsley, basil, oregano, and paprika, and a healthy sprinkling of granulated garlic. I also add half a cup of bread crumbs and half a cup of Parmesan cheese. I beat one egg and add it to the mix.
Notice that I do not add salt, pepper, or onion, which you could. I avoid these three ingredients because I live with my dogs, and they enjoy a meatball. Plus, all those spices are flavorful enough. The Parmesan cheese gives you a salty feel.
I use a tray for my Air Fryer. I rolled and placed seven meatballs (see the picture). I heated the tray to 350 degrees for 8 minutes, shaking or turning them over to cook for another 3 minutes. Perfect.
The one-pound mix made three batches of 7 meatballs = 21 meatballs.
To be used in spaghetti and meatballs, meatball sandwiches and doggie “I love you” treats.
This works. They are outstanding, and I’m not easy to please in the meatball factory.
Thank you for reading. Also, if you care to share any ideas on how to improve these meatballs please do so in the comments section.
