It took me a long time to find this recipe and it’s perfect.
Quick and just like a lasagna that spent hours in the oven. The blue and gold Macaw in the pictures is my Max, 23 years old, He really likes lasagna.
Ingredients:
1 lb. lean ground beef /
2 ( 15 oz cans of tomato sauce) I use whole tomatoes chopped up. /
2 teaspoons of Italian Seasoning. ( I use 8 teaspoons).
1 (16 oz container of ricotta cheese /
1/2 box of lasagna noodles/
1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.
You can add a bunch of stuff like:
Parmesan cheese on top, broccoli, onions, basil, chili flakes, chopped celery, garlic, oregano. and so on and so on. I toss all of this in with the mix.
Directions:
In a medium or large skillet, brown the ground beef. After you start the ground beef, start of pan of water to cook your noodles, When the water is ready for the noodles, break them up and bring them to a boil, drain and set aside.
Once the ground beef is cooked, add the two cans of tomato sauce and Italian Seasoning, and then bring them to a boil stirring often. Add the ricotta cheese and mix well. Cook this mixture for 2 to 3 minutes.
Next, add your cooked noodles, and incorporate them to the meat and cheese mixture. The final step is to add mozzarella cheese on top, cover the skillet with a lid, heat until the cheese is melted. Take the pan directly from the stove to the table, Enjoy
