I’ve been growing some of my own spices for years. Basil, oregano, sweet peppers, thyme, and others. The only mix I’ve made at home is Herbes de Provence (Herbs of Provence to us mortals) and purchased other mixes.

Recently I was running low on Italian seasoning and decided to look up the content of the mix in order to make my own and was shocked and surprised to find it only had two spices in the mix: oregano and parsley!!! I’ve been taken for a fool. This will be remedied easily by making my own mix.

The chart included above shows Italian seasoning with 8 spices in the mix, as it should be. Sooo, I will be preparing all seven mixes in the chart as provided by KitchenFunWithMy3Sons.com. Of course, Herbes de Province will be included in my mixed flavors. I love the stuff. Let’s do this. Thanks for reading.

Wonderful! I’m definitely going to try my hand at herb gardening.
