In this particular case, there has been an uproar of protest and demands that this matter be reversed. The blatant acquiescence came from our elected officials by providing lame band-aid speeches. Once these elected officials realized that their acquiescence will cost them their office, they got off their sorry butts and started to do something about the situation. My take is that it is too little too late.
