These cookies will make you famous every you serve them.

Mix:

4 sticks room temperature butter /

1 and 1/5 cups sugar /

3 cups all purpose flour, half cup at a time.

Add by hand: 2 cups shredded sweetened coconut / 1/2 cup pecans, chopped / 1 cup sesame seed.

Knead the dough, then divide the dough into three equal parts. Roll into three logs. Roll logs into plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours. Cut logs into 1/4 inch thick slices. Bake at 300 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes or until edges become golden brown. Allow to rest for 5 minutes on pan after baking.
