Zen teaches us how to free our mind and allow our thoughts to flow unhinged by social mores. It’s like going a little crazy. This free, crazy mind joyfully wanders and seeks and finds mysteries, while poking them and trying to know more about anything, about everything. Is the mind and spirit one and the same? Difficult question to respond to but we do know that they are somehow interconnected and ‘carried’ by our biological carriage, our body.
Maybe the mind speaks for the spirit. So many maybe’s, all weaving themselves, like a basket of thoughts and emotions, events, places, creating strings that connect and attach us from here to there. The universal puzzle that unfolds and seeks to direct itself into our consciousness.
Listening to the many songs of what we know instinctively is a gift from our biology to our mind-spirit. Like a recording that wants to be played back. Stop the noise and listen inward and find the story of everything. The roadmap for the how, the when, the why is wanting you to find them and make that connection.
There is no such thing as time. We have invented it to avoid fear and emotional dizziness. Instruct your mind to release the time trap and allow the flow of the story of everything to enter. Take a seat. Close your eyes. Sip a drink and roam around in your mind and find that many roads will open up to you. You will learn to know things hidden to you before. You will learn to feel things you have never felt before. Most importantly, compassion and understanding will open to you like a door allowing peace to invade your tired and forever worried mind-soul.
That small nook we find is called peace. Sit. Rest. Sip. Flow. Thank you for reading.
