Day number one million? of pandemic lock down. No complaints, we have it better than most people and pets, so comfort food it is. French toast and a couple of slices of crisp bacon.

Recipe: beat two eggs, one tablespoon of sugar ( my mom uses 2, you decide), two thirds cup of whole milk, healthy dash of cinnamon and a teaspoon of real vanilla. Mix.

Cut bread in rounds and soak in egg mixture. Poke bread with fork, if using French bread, to make sure the insides get wet.

Heat butter in pan, cook your French Toast, Sprinkle with honey. Thank you bees!!! I’m using Wildflower honey. It’s poetic to have such honey on the first day of May. What’s on your plate?
