Sometimes deciding on the menu takes more time than actually cooking and setting the meal. With that in mind we decided to help out with some elegant and meant-to-please meal ideas. The recipes are easy to find. Just google them or ask us. We’d be happy to help you out.
Table Setting:
A square table that sits four people but only displaying two dinner chairs. It should be covered in a crisp white linen tablecloth. At the center a low, small flower arrangement. You don’t want the flowers too tall that you cannot see each other uninterrupted. A stand alone wine chiller with a white linen towel. You don’t want the ice, once it melts, to drip all over everything. You don’t need to have exactly that which is detailed. Be creative. Use your imagination and get as close as you can to this setting.
The Table:
Set for one course with a small salad plate located. at upper left hand of the dinner plate. One wine stem and one Champaign stem. ( the Champaign will be served with the dessert.
Choice of Main Courses:
(1) Pork Roast covered in Rosemary herbs with plum sauce on the side. Mashed potatoes. Small green salad.
(2) Salmon Filet covered in honey mustard sauce. Mashed potatoes. Small green salad.
(3) Coq Au Vin (chicken in red wine) with white rice and a small green salad.
Dessert:
Fresh strawberries dipped in dark chocolate or a couple of scoops of ice cream with the strawberries chopped covering them. Chilled champagne on the side.
Some background music, keep it barely audible and one scented candle set far from the table. You don’t want the dinner aromas to be messed up with a scented candle.
Celebrate, enjoy life and live. Happy Valentine’s Day.
