As I put myself to sleep last night Shakespearean sonnets popped into my sleepy mind. The thoughts just visited me and stayed for a while. ” No longer mourn for me when I am dead, than you shall hear the surly sullen bells give warning to the world that I am fled…” While my mind is going through the job of shutting down into the depths of sleep I think about my lifelong fascination with Shakespeare. “Let not my love be called idolatry, nor my beloved as an idol show…” Just before my mind shuts down a dialogue starts all by itself which I listened to carefully. Sounds become letters, Letters become words. Words become sentences. Rhyme and numerical measurements create the music that ignite poetry into eternal life. ” To one, of one, still such and ever so…” Elements contained in such a recipe that give words deep meaning and eternal flight. Then I fell asleep.
