Education appears to be wasted on the group of people who knowingly continue to purchase live Christmas trees. It’s been decades since I brought the huge 12 foot tree into my home. It was glorious. By the following May I was talking about planting it outside. My parents talked me out of it saying that it could become a fire hazard. So, painfully, it was placed with the garbage. I never again bought a live tree. Too heartbreaking for us both.
Now, I’m watching as the Pandemic has interrupted our supply chain and live Christmas trees are dead upon arrival. Surprisingly, people continue to cash out for these browning, near death trees. What is it about people who cannot break patterns and use the information they have gained throughout time? I’d understand if there was no alternative to live trees. The artificial trees are so real that you can’t tell them apart. Save a tree. Buy artificial.
My laundry basket tree is biodegradable and just lovely. Scented with lavender water.

Down here in Florida, there is already a big tent in Lowes parking lot filled with live trees for sale. With the warm weather they won’t be green for long. Such a waste, trees have feelings too….??
