“When you remember a past event, you’re actually remembering the last time you remembered it, not the event itself.”

Until I read this statement, I had never thought otherwise. Of course, remembering is the act of extracting information from your mind. But now doubt has taken hold of this concept. Time is linear, I’m told. Do we actually, unknowingly, visit the actual happenings when we recall them? I wish I knew. Wouldn’t that be something to look forward to? If we could only remember and remain where we want.
