Senator Sanders has surprised us all by ending his 2020 presidential campaign. After his performance during the 2016 presidential campaign during which he refused to concede and did not do so until humiliated by boos of his peers on the senate floor.
Today, I am relieved, baffled, and suspicious. Yes, relieved because the pressure to deal with him and his bots for approximately four years has been exhausting. He is a formidable enemy. I am baffled because his announcement came out of nowhere. What motivated this move, I wonder? Maybe his heart attack, fear of having to sooner or later expose himself to the Coronavirus crowd? But I am also still suspicious because he is not to be trusted and may have some nasty plan up his demagogic sleeve. Only time will tell.
Democrats need to stand tall and rally behind Vice President Biden. I confess that, for me, this an arranged marriage. Not a love match but, nevertheless, a match based upon respect and need. We need to restore sanity, decency and accountability back into our government. He is our candidate and we must protect and defend him all the way to the White House.
